Excel export limitations
Sheet size
A sheet holds 1,048,575 rows and 16,384 columns in .xlsx, 65,535 and 256 in .xls. A table past either ceiling is listed in your report and left out of that format rather than silently cut short.
Very large tables
Very large tables are skipped too, where writing the Excel copy would take far longer than the job itself (past 8,000,000 cells in .xlsx, 150,000 in .xls); your report says which tables those were.
Cell text
A cell holds up to 32,767 characters of text in .xlsx and 4,000 in .xls (255 in a table of more than 30,000 different texts): a longer value is cut there and marked “…[truncated for Excel]”, and your report says how many cells each file cut.
CSV, JSON and SQL always carry every row, and every value whole.
